QuickFind
QuickFind finds pages, content items, files and administration screens in Jahia by name or by URL, from one search box that opens with Ctrl+K.
On a large site, an editor often browses the content tree or the administration menus to reach one page, one file or one setting. The editor usually knows a word of its title already, or has the URL of the page on the live site.
QuickFind adds one search box to the Jahia interface. An editor opens it with Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux, with ⌘K on macOS, or with the search icon in the primary navigation. The search starts after three letters or digits, in the current site and the current language, and it shows the results in sections:
- Pages and full-page content: pages, and content items that fill a page. With an Augmented Search index, the results also include documents and highlight the matching words.
- Media: images, videos and documents, with a thumbnail when one exists.
- Features: administration screens, jContent apps and jExperience menu items whose name matches the search.
- URL or path match: the content that a pasted URL or path serves. QuickFind resolves the URL against the vanity URLs and the content paths of the site.
Enter opens the selected result in jContent, and E opens it in the content editor. The editor reaches the page, the file or the screen from a name or a URL, and does not open the content tree.
The interface is available in English, French and German. An administrator can turn each section on or off and set the number of results in one configuration file.
QuickFind runs on Jahia 8.2.2.0 or later, and it requires jcontent 3.7.1 or later and graphql-dxm-provider 3.6.0 or later. Jahia 8.2.2.x includes older versions of these two modules, so upgrade both from the Jahia Store before you install QuickFind.

Use QuickFind
Open the search box
Press Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux, or ⌘K on macOS. You can also click the search icon in the primary navigation, which shows the CTRL+K label. Ctrl+K does not open the search box when the focus is inside the page preview of jContent. In that case, click the search icon.
The search box shows the current site and the current language, and QuickFind searches the content of that site in that language.
Type a search
Type at least three letters or digits. Punctuation and spaces do not count, so the term 50% waits for one more character. The search ignores letter case and accents, and it also finds a term inside a longer word.
To find the content behind a page of the live site, paste the URL of the page or its path, for example https://www.jahia.com/product/enterprise-cms or /about-us. The URL or path match section then shows the matching content.
Result sections
- URL or path match: the content that a pasted URL or path serves.
- Features: administration screens, jContent apps and jExperience menu items.
- Media: images, videos and documents, with a thumbnail when one exists.
- Pages, main resources, and documents: the results of Augmented Search, with the matching words highlighted. This section appears when the site has an Augmented Search index.
- Pages and Main Resource (Full page content): pages and full-page content items. These two sections replace the Augmented Search section when the site has no Augmented Search index.
Each section shows its first results only. Click Show more under a section to see 10 more results.

FAQ
Configure QuickFind
The settings are in the OSGi configuration file org.jahia.pm.modules.quickfind.cfg. Jahia deploys this file to digital-factory-data/karaf/etc/ when it installs the module, and you edit the copy in that folder.
The first line of the file is # default configuration - won't be overridden, so an update of the module keeps your changes. A change applies after the editors reload the Jahia interface in their browser.
