Distributed Sessions module externalizes HTTP session data to a database or a distributed cache/data grid. This way session data survives server restarts or lets other cluster nodes take over the sessions of a stopped server, without the end user noticing it. Use this module to provide high availability and better scalability for your website access. The module uses Spring Session and currently uses Redis to store session data (Redis needs to be installed separately).
For more details please check the fine tuning guide available on Jahia Academy
The Jahia Distributed Sessions module is not installed by default with Jahia DX. It can be downloaded here and installed later using the Modules component in Jahia DX administration. It can also be directly installed using the Modules component in Jahia DX administration.
It needs Jahia jQuery, Jahia CKEditor, Jahia Static Assets and Default Jahia Templates modules installed to function properly.
